Oh Canada!

Canada Day this year was quite relaxing. Spent the morning lounging around the yard, and in the afternoon my husband and I decided to head to Elora to do a little hiking and fishing.

We didn’t catch any fish, but we were greatly amused by a little duck who kept riding the waves at the base of the dam. You can see a clip of this on my Vine account. go duck!

Elora never disappoints. It’s always beautiful. Any time of year.

After dinner, I met up with Linda and her long time friend Jeff. I’ve come to find that when Jeff is around, I wind up in some pretty interesting situations. Last night included.

When I was told ‘private rooftop party’ I thought back to some of the other parties we’d all been to, but when I arrived at said location it wasn’t what I expected. In fact I questioned its legality. But it was in fact perfectly legal and we had the best view in the city.

A full 360 degree view of the entire city!

Everyone who set off fireworks, we saw them! We could see fireworks in neighbouring cities! And it lasted for hours.

The big finale. Our city hall fireworks display.
